General information

The University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest (UPB) was founded in 1818 and it is the oldest and most prestigious technical university in Romania. Over its 200 years of existence, UPB has managed to invest in human capital and to create a qualitative profile that promotes excellence in technical education and research.

The University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest is formed by 15 faculties, located in:

·         POLIZU Campus: 1-7 Polizu street, sector 1;

·         NEW Campus: 313 Splaiul Independenței street, sector 6;

·         LEU Campus: 1-3 Iuliu Maniu street, sector 6.

This academic year, University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest conducts educational activities in 7 major technical fields of study in 3 foreign languages: English, French and German.

UPB will submit the application file for admission to studies in Romania to the Directorate-General for International Relations and European Affairs (DGRIAE) of the Ministry of Education (the minimum period of processing the application is 30 days). If a positive decision is reached by the Ministry, a "Letter of Acceptance" is issued and sent to UPB and at the diplomatic mission.

3. Obtain study VISA

Once you receive the Letter of acceptance, apply for student visa in your country of origin at the diplomatic mission; You need to provide:

• Proof of financial means (at least 2,500 Euros in your bank account);
• Proof of accommodation;
• Proof of health insurance.
