Who are the persons responsible for obtaining a student
residence permit in the TRNC?
• Foreigners who will study associate, bachelor's, master's
or doctorate in a higher education institution are obliged to obtain a Student
Residence permit.

What are the things to be done by foreign students who
have completed the age of eighteen and are still continuing their secondary
education?
- Student
residence permits are given to the Office upon their application in this
regard and after they prove that they have attended secondary education,
without seeking any other conditions.
- Required
documents; Valid passport, valid student certificate, tax receipt
paid to the tax office
- In the
ongoing practice, students are required to apply to the Immigration Office
with these documents in order to obtain a student residence permit.
- The
student who will take the permit must enter the TRNC with a valid
passport.
Tuition and
Scholarships at Eastern Mediterranean University
EMU offers a 50% scholarship to all its international
students enrolled in the university as a means of promoting diversity and
increasing its international visibility. This scholarship covers about half of
their tuition and is offered to all foreign students along with their
acceptance.

The
Near East University established in 1988, is located in Nicosia, capital of
North Cyprus, and as an international higher education institution employing
